Day 25 Sunday - Back to One

Really exhausted by the multiple apple exercise, it was a relief to return to the single apple today.  I decided to work on the shadow inspired by Jiyoung Kim's wonderful Crescent painting of yesterday.

The shadow didn't turn out to be the star, but the apple has a presence that I like.  It was easier than the previous apples so the work in Carol Marine's exercise has paid off.

    1. Meredith: I did respond on my blog but probably didn't do it correctly. Makes me wonder if anyone has seen that I've responded. This 30 in 30 gets to you, even at my slow pace.

    1. Don't know if you or Meredith knew I responded, too zonked to push the right buttons. See comment on my blog if you didn't get it previously.

  4. This is my favorite so far, due to Carol Maine's suggestions in "Daily Painting" and that really wonderful online video by Michael Chesley Johnson, that you suggested. I must admit that I fell asleep two or three times watching it; we really do watch paint dry. What was helpful to me was his step by step explanation why he was making certain moves with his brushes and his colors. Stuff I never knew and immensely instructional, just great.
