In the southern mountains heavy snowfall is not the usual winter weather, rather freezing rain that coats the roads and trees with ice. So as northerner I just had to record the first heavy snowfall I experienced here about five years ago.

I'd tried to comment on your recent 30 paintings in 30 days and it seemed necessary that I join Google+ and I didn't want to, but found this link, so here I am. I really appreciate your comments on my paintings which have helped in my sticking to it.... though I've got a bad cold and haven't done anything the last 2 days. I really like this pastel painting. I did the apple painting exercise a while back and found it very helpful. I like how you've done them. Keep up the good work.
ReplyDeleteHope you are feeling better Carole. I am doing this 30 in 30 as a way of returning to painting after surgery in October. So I've done what I can and not pushed myself as I did last January. It's both educational and frustrating to see how the rest of life intrudes on studio time. Thanks for perservering through Google+, not sure how all that works, too techie for me.
